BET, AET, Hidden Treasures and Shark Fest E-learning.
All volunteers and staff at the Newport Aquarium are required to take Basic Education Training (BET), Advanced Education Training (AET), Hidden Treasures and now the NEW Shark Fest Online E-learning Courses before working with us. With a click of the mouse button, you will be offered a private "Virtual Tour" through the Newport Aquarium by way of our E-learning courses. These online courses are designed to provide you basic procedure information and key facts about the exciting animals in our exhibits, which will help you to enhance our guest experiences and yours.

.

Upon completion of each course, you will be able to e-mail a copy of your completion record to Volunteer Services. Then you can come in to the Aquarium at a scheduled time to take a real tour of the exhibits and apply what you have learned to what you see in our exciting environment.

And, once you have completed your tour of courses, you can come back to the
E-learning at any time to review and refresh your knowledge.

So get started now to becoming a Newport Aquarium expert volunteer by visiting the Newport Aquarium E-learning.
