How many chaperones should I bring to escort my group?
A positive educational experience depends largely on the participation of the adult/teacher chaperones. One complimentary adult/teacher chaperone ticket is provided for every 10 student tickets purchased. Groups are required to have at least one adult/teacher chaperone for every 10 students. Additional adults must check-in with the group in order to receive the discounted Adult Group Rate.

What will we need to do before the Finstitute Experience?
Prior to visiting the aquarium, teacher packets are available to provide background curriculum for each individual lesson.  Students participating in the classroom experience should complete the pre-visit assessment.  The completed pre-lesson assessments should be given to the Finstitute Classroom Instructor at the beginning of class.  The class includes a 45-60-minute lesson taught by a trained WAVE Foundation instructor in the Newport on the Levee Community Center Suites. Please note: the classroom experience does NOT take place inside the aquarium.  It is located in one of Newport on the Levee’s Community Center Suites across from Gameworks. After visiting, students must complete the post-visit assessment and return it to the WAVE Foundation within 2 weeks of their visit
